querylog question

How can I specify where/how to log queries but defer actually loggin
untill I toggle logging with 'rndc querylog'?

Creating a channel with the appropriate options is not a problem. But as
far as I know the only way to specify that queries should be logged using
that channel also enables the logging...
And if I don't set the channel for the query category then I'm stuck with
default logging to syslog if I toggle querylogging... Which I don't want.

I'm using bind 9.2.3.
