Multiple internet domains.

Hi all,

I'm setting up an external DNS server and I'm looking for some advice on
configuration.

I need to host multiple Internet domains like, www.red.com,
www.blue.com, www.green.com. Most of them will be just www.red.com
points to an IP. There will be a main domain, red.com that will have
several vhosts like my.red.com and core.red.com.
Should each domain be a separate zone? Or should they be A records of
the main domain? What is the "best" way to set this up?
