No change after reinstall

I did a complete reinstall, deleting the old named user and letting the 
installation add a new one. (I used a proper password this time :-) )
Alas my utilities are still not working. When they fail they fail with
Application Failure rndc.exe [or named-checkzone.exe]  0.0.0.0 in ntdll.dll 
5.1.2600.2180 at offset 0x00018fea

Since my config is so small I may get by without them. I will try the 
installation version prior to 9.3 to see how it goes.
