BIND only resolves hostname on the second attempt

I am unable to find any documentation on the -4 argument, as a matter of
fact, when I started named with -4, it was deaf and would not resolve
anything.

Sorry to keep beating on this issue, I am relatively new to dealing with
BIND and need to have things explained a little more verbosely if possible.
