Hi all,
I am installing a new nameserver and am testing BIND 9.3.0.
Unfortunately, while loading our configuration on it and starting up,
I received a strange result:
Nov 21 20:26:08 ns2 named[6292]: server.c:1927: INSIST(zoneview != 0) failed
Nov 21 20:26:08 ns2 named[6292]: exiting (due to assertion failure)
Nov 21 20:26:08 ns2 /kernel: pid 6292 (named), uid 53: exited on signal 6
This assert failure occurred once. I haven't seen it since, but I will
keep an eye on it.
The source snippet looks as follows:
/*
* At this point the zone list may contain a stale zone
* just removed from the configuration. To see the validity,
* check if the corresponding view is in our current view list.
*/
zoneview = dns_zone_getview(zone);
INSIST(zoneview != NULL);
I am not using views in the configuration.

I couldn't find anything about this error using google; any info or
debugging tips would be appreciated!
Thanks!
Kind regards,
