Note that the slave server will only allow them if the hosts are specified
or the masters statement is used
this is what mark also told :)


otherwise in your options {

notify no;

};

to disable notifications. :)

The master is sending the notify's out and the slave server reseived it
its up to him to dl the zone, if you don't specify that zone in your
named.conf it will ignore the incoming notify...
And if you don't want to reseive any incoming notify's from some servers
block them on you network interface...

does bind 8.3.4 by default accept notify only from the master, I didn't
find allow-notify option in the bind8. Can it be defined explicitly from

which source ip the notify should be accepted?
