Faster NOTIFY on master.

Is it possible to get the master to send NOTIFYs faster after a "ndc reload domain.tld" ?
NOTIFY seems to be sent roughly 10 minutes after the "ndc reload domain.tld" command,
while a "ndc reload" uses 20-30 seconds (a rather significant difference).

At present time we are running 8.3.4-REL, and haven't seen any other strange behaviour/logs.
