non-interactive nsupdate

Greetings,  can someone tell me if they have run in to any limitations on
how many records you can process a non-interactive nsupdate before it bombs
out.  I am running a script, and the format looks good, I can do it
manually, but through the script it fails, and I know this because when I do
a look up the record is still there.

Is there something I am missing?
