W2k Service problem starting ISC Bind

I asked you what's in the log. This tell me nothing. What's in the
application
error log? Does the task manager show that named is running?

What do you mean by server? On the system running BIND, did you try
dig @127.0.0.1 yahoo.com ns?

You need to answer the above questions first. It's not meaningful to deal
with a different system.
