	It's a request with "rd" (recursion desired) set.  It tells
	the nameserver you are making the request of to find the
	answer rather than providing as much of the answer as it
	knows.

	Stub resolvers usually issue queries with "rd" set. 

	Nameservers usually issue queries with "rd" clear as they
	are capable of following the referrals returned and
	constructing the final answer.  Nameserver only set "rd"
	when they are talking to a forwarder.
