I did not say to put a @ at the start of every record. Please
re-read my first reply. I said to get rid of the white-space
before the @ and implied that you need to do the same of the
other records that wern't inheriting the name from the record
before.
Mark
e.g.
$TTL 3600
@ IN SOA ns1.domain.com. root.domain.com. (
20020132 ; Serial
10800 ; Refresh
3600 ; Retry
604800 ; Expire
86400 ) ; Minimum TTL
; DNS Servers
IN NS ns1.domain.com.
; Machine Names
localhost IN A 127.0.0.1
ns1 IN A xx.xx.xx.xx
@ IN A xx.xx.xx.xx
; Aliases
www IN CNAME xx.xx.xx.xx
; MX Record
@ IN MX 10 domain.com.
