Hi,

I am using bind-9.1.3 and have A6 record in my zonedata file. The netry
looks like

$ORIGIN domain.com.
..
somehost
IN A6	64 ::2c0:4fff:fe06:8490 somenet.domain.com.
..
somenet
	IN A6	0	2acf:123f:2962:2211::
..

Now when I use the host command (from bind-9.1.3 distribution)

host -t A6 somehost.domain.com. localhost

I get

somehost.domain.com. has v6 address 64 ::2c0:4fff:fe06:8490
somenet.domain.com.

Is this normal behavior. Shouldn't I get complete IPV6 address after
following the A6 record chain. Also with this setup I cannot use ping6
(came with freebsd-4.3). However if I use AAAA records it works fine.

Thanks for insight into this.

rajeev
