home.com didn't resolve for 29+ hrs??

It's a little hard to troubleshoot a "domain doesn't resolve" problem
when you haven't really provided any details on how your local
DNS server is configured, particularly how it is set up to resolve
Internet names. The fact that your local server has an address in a
non-routable range (192.168/16) implies that you're doing something ugly
like NAT and/or forwarding in order to be able to resolve Internet
names. Those things could be biting you intermittently.
