'named' on a different port than 53

Hello everybody,
A very simple question. Could not find solution in documentation.

I started 'named' on port 1051 with command : named -p 1051.
Then I sent a query using dig : dig -p 1051 yahoo.com.

It gives result :

; <<>> DiG 9.2.0a2 <<>> -p 1051 yahoo.com
;; global options:  printcmd
;; connection timed out; no servers could be reached

What could be the problem ?
