Hello
I'm using bind 9 and this might be a sendmail problem, but let me first
look at the DNS side of the problem.
I'm trying to create a new alias for my box.
The box is
www2.mrbrklyn.com
The alias I'm creating is www.nylxs.com
I would like to have mail for this domain under
user at nylxs.com
I have a record file that looks like this:
$TTL 86400;
@ IN SOA nylxs.com. ruben.www2.mrbrklyn.com. (
1 ;SERIAL
43200 ;Refresh after 12 hours
3600 ; retry in an hour
2419200 ;Expire in 4 weeks
86400 ) ; Time to Live one day
nylxs.com. IN NS www2.mrbrklyn.com.
nylxs.com. IN NS ns1.speakeasy.com.
localhost.nylxs.com. IN A 127.0.0.1
jbsapphire.nylxs.com. IN A 216.254.112.137
enterprise.nylxs.com. IN A 216.254.112.138
www2.nylxs.com. IN A 216.254.112.136
home.nylxs.com. IN A 216.254.112.135
www.nylxs.com. IN A 216.254.112.136
nylxs.com. IN A 216.254.112.136
nylxs.com. IN MX 10 www2.mrbrklyn.com.
www2.nylxs.com. IN MX 10 www2.mrbrklyn.com.
home.nylxs.com. IN MX 10 www2.mrbrklyn.com.
When I run
root at www2:/home/ruben > cat /proc/scsi/scsi |mail -v ruben at nylxs.com
/root/dead.letter... Saved message in /root/dead.letter

I have to point the mail to www2.mrbrklyn.com. That's the mail server.
I have the domain aliased under /etc/sendmail.cw
Any clues?
