With the MX configuration:
> mydomain.edu IN MX 10 mail1.mydomain.edu
> mydomain. edu IN MX 20 mail2.mydomain.edu
when I send one email to the user test at mydomain.edu, my SMTP relay server
makes the next:
(1) Tries a smtp connection with the server mail1.mydomain.edu
(1.A) If mail1.mydomain.edu accepts the email my SMTP relay server finish the
transaction.
(1.B) If mail1.mydomain.edu doesn't answer or not finish ok the email
transfer, my SMTP relay server sends the message to mail2.mydomain.edu
mail2.mydomain.edu tries to send the message to mail1.mydomain.edu, if it can
not send the message, it queues the message and try later.
(1.C) If mail2.mydomain.edu doesn't answer, my SMTP relay server queues the
message and tries later.
Greetings.
