Less records.
Lets say .com advertises
domain CNAME example
example NS ns1.example
example NS ns2.example
This is 25 % less (in records, not specifically size) then
domain NS ns1.example
domain NS ns2.example
example NS ns1.example
example NS ns2.example
Don't know exactly about load/performance. But I guess load increase (=
performance decrease)
