Which version of Bind to run with Active Directory? 8 or 9?

You should use the latest and greatest version, It will only avoid having to
upgrade later. I didn't want the PC folks dynamically updating my
production files so I implemented it with using views. I don't allow there
PC's to do dynamic updates but I put there active directory servers in a
view by themselves so they can do whatever they want in there view. I
implemented the zones through the procedure on page 525 of DNS and Bind 4th
Addition. It was pretty cool I share the 4 zone files in both views but I
only allow dynamic updating from the Domain Controllers View.

We are about to embark on integrating Active Directory within our
namespace.

We are at Bind 4.9 and will upgrade.

Just want to know if anyone has any recommendations/gotchas on whether
to use 8.2.4 or 9.1.3?

Thanks...Geoff
