newbie: win2k using cached DNS even after cache flushing

Good idea but I'd already looked for one and found that it was empty except 
for the localhost.

I was able to rectify my problem by removing NetBEUI from the PC though. Now 
I have to figure out how to have windows resolve non-fully qualified names 
*without* telling it what the domain is ^_^
