error updating 8.2.3 ???

You have a syntax error on the first line of each zone file. Post one
of the files *exactly* as it is on your system if you want someone to
tell you what that error is. 8.2.3 is less tolerant of incorrectly
formatted zone files than previous releases. But you already know
that. :-(
