I've got 2 BIND 9.1.0 servers running on 2 HPUX 11 systems. One primary
and one secondary. My secondary server is fine, no problems. When I
stop named on my primary server, it core dumps every time. The named
process terminates and the following gets written to the syslog:
Feb 19 09:17:10 packy /usr/sbin/named[858]: shutting down
Feb 19 09:17:12 packy /usr/sbin/named[858]: no longer listening on
xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx#53
Feb 19 09:17:12 packy /usr/sbin/named[858]: no longer listening on
127.0.0.1#53
Feb 19 09:17:21 packy /usr/sbin/named[858]: mem.c:1404:
REQUIRE(mpctx->allocated == 0) failed
Feb 19 09:17:21 packy /usr/sbin/named[858]: exiting (due to assertion
failure)
Afterwards, I restart the service and it runs fine again until I try to
shut it down...giving me yet another core. named doesn't crash
unexpectedly, only on exit. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Sincerely,
