No problem of running 2 at the same time. You new server will only be used
by clients that you specific reconfigured to. The Notify would not matter,
since your BIND4 would not know/care what it means anyway.

Subject: 2 DNS machines
I've 1 DNS machine running at the moment, which I want to replace with
another.
Since the new firewall/DNS is a complete different machine (Linux with
bind 8.x) than the other (FreeBSD with bind 4.x, I first want to test it
out before switching.
Is it possible, whithout disturbing the internet/intranet, to have 2
DNS's running at the same time? Do I have to turn notify off on the new
one when trying it out (probably yes)?
