Yes, Windows 2000 Supports RFC2136, however Microsoft now allows clients
aka Windows 2000 clients to update DNS directly.
Furthermore an Windows 2000 requires your DHCP Server to change because the
client must receive option 81 which is SRV record from the DHCP server
which tells the client where to find the active directory server.
Finally, Microsoft has no way of protecting a name within DNS. So, FIFO
will take effect where names are concerned. That is the overwriting of
names within DNS. Two computers with the same name, the last one
registered will be in DNS.
