Bind 8.2.2-p5 troubles.

Not really troubles, but inexperience rather.  I've just installed Bind
8.2.2-p5
on my Solaris 2.6 box.  I have an existing named.conf file and directory

structure for the databases.  Why won't named run correctly?  It will
run,
but when I point to it, it hangs and won't return names.  Any ideas?
