I'm trying to build 8.2.1 on an old (v 1.2.13) Slackware Linux box. I've
installed a new make (3.77) and bison (1.28) to see if it would help, but no
luck yet.
The last few lines of output are...
dns_sv.o(.text+0x4f): undefined reference to `__memget' [*many* of these]
dns_sv.o(.text+0xb4): undefined reference to `__memput'
dns_sv.o(.text+0x11a): undefined reference to `__memput'
nul_ng.o(.text+0x7): undefined reference to `__memget'
nul_ng.o(.text+0x7a): undefined reference to `__memput'

make[2]: Leaving directory `/usr/src/src/bin/nslookup'
make[1]: *** [nslookup] Error 2

Am I crazy to even try installing 8.2.1 on such an old version of Linux? Is
there a simple solution or is it time to rebuild the whole system?
Thanks,
Greg
