Hi Folks!
I ran into some problems compiling BIND 8.2.2-T3B on my Linux 2.2.5
system built from SuSE Linux 6.1.
Everything compiles fine until the binaries are about to start
compiling. That's when I get:
make[1]: Leaving directory `/home/tkuehne/src/lib'
/home/tkuehne/src/bin
make[1]: Entering directory `/home/tkuehne/src/bin'
/home/tkuehne/src/bin/addr
make[2]: Entering directory `/home/tkuehne/src/bin/addr'
gcc -D_GNU_SOURCE -O -g -I../../port/linux/include -I../../include -c
addr.c
gcc -D_GNU_SOURCE -O -g -o addr addr.o \
../../lib/libbind.a -lfl
/usr/i486-linux/bin/ld: cannot open -lfl: No such file or directory
make[2]: *** [addr] Error 1
make[2]: Leaving directory `/home/tkuehne/src/bin/addr'
make[1]: *** [addr] Error 2
make[1]: Leaving directory `/home/tkuehne/src/bin'
make: *** [all] Error 2
Any ideas?
I can see that the option 'SYSLIBS=-lfl' is set in the file
Makefile.set int the subdirectory port/linux.
Btw, I have had the same errors with BIND 8.2.1, so I guess I'm doing
something wrong. Can somebody explain what it is?
I wanted to compile 8.2.2 because I'm testing some IPv6 networking and
need to have AAAA records working. Do I have to enable support for
these RRs somewhere in the source or is it in with a stright out of the
box compilation?
Best regards,
Thomas
