This question was asked by me a couple of days back, but I didn't get any reply,
perhaps my question was not clear then, I'll put it in a more simple way...
I have a DNS server running BIND 4.9+ which is primary for "abc.com" on HP-UX.
I also have a subzone in this domain "sales.abc.com" the primary of which is an
NT server running the DNS/WINS and DHCP server because of which all the IP
addresses are dynamic and can't be transferred to a zone file. Now in order that
the unix server is able to resolv the hosts in the "sales.abc.com" domain I
added the NS-Record for the NT server in the named.hosts file and adding the
zone name "sales.abc.com" in the /etc/resolv.conf and the forward lookup works
fine and all the hosts are being resolved without any problems. The problem is
how do I do a reverse lookup for a host( IP to Name ) in the "sales.abc.com"
zone.
Any help/clue in this regard will be appreciated.
TIA,
Kali.
