2 Names, 1 IP

I have an SDSL connection at home which has 1 static IP address
associated with it.  My ISP has registered a standard format name
(similar for all SDSL subscribers) with the IP.  i.e. sdsl-n.isp.com

Can I additionally register my own domain name and use the same IP using
a different DNS other than my ISP?
