Hmm, one of my posts in this thread appears to have been lost.

The problem was that ns2.granitecanyon.com hadn't transferred the version
of the zone with this record added, so you had a 50% chance of getting a
DNS lookup failure.

ns2 now has the record, so the problem should be resolved.
