ISC Releases the fastest version yet of BIND 9, the Market Leading DNS Software

Redwood City, CA -- Internet Systems Consortium, Inc. (ISC) announced that the latest version of its market leading open source DNS software, BIND 9.4, is available for download at http://www.isc.org/software/bind/. The software was released as final on February 23rd and over 35,000 downloads from ISCs site have been recorded since that time. BIND 9.4 incorporates a significant performance increase resulting in faster query response times and several new features including support for DLZ (dynamically loaded zones).

ISC Launches DLV registry to kick off worldwide DNSSEC deployment

Redwood City, CA - Internet Systems Consortium (ISC) today announced the launch of the ISC DLV (DNSSEC Look-aside Validation) registry. ISC, working with accredited ICANN domain name registrars such as TUCOWS, is making available to the world a mechanism to allow domain holders to secure their domain information using the DNSSEC protocol extension to DNS in advance of a signed root or TLD zone.
